Modupe Ehinlaiye founded BOND with a conviction that has remained at the heart of its journey: the stories of Nigerian excellence deserve to be seen, celebrated and amplified.

A lawyer, community leader and advocate for the visibility and advancement of Nigerians in the diaspora, Modupe envisioned BOND as a way to shine a light on individuals whose achievements, leadership and service were making a difference, often without receiving the recognition they deserved.

That vision came to life with the inaugural BOND Awards in Ontario, Canada, on September 13, 2024. What began as an annual celebration of excellence has since grown into a larger ambition to build an enduring institution that not only recognizes achievement, but connects people, strengthens relationships and creates pathways for opportunity and collective impact.

For Modupe, the future of BOND lies in what becomes possible beyond the Awards stage: a growing global community in which accomplished Nigerians can find one another, collaborate, open doors, inspire the next generation and use their collective influence to create meaningful change.
